About Us

About Us

To teach the world how to love through simple acts of kindness by putting compassion into action.

The Compassion Advocacy Network (CAN) does what our name implies — we advocate for a more compassionate world and put that advocacy into action. Our focus involves conducting simple acts of kindness that benefit people in need.

Our outreach focuses on the needs of:

  • Senior Citizens
  • Disabled persons
  • Youth
  • Single parents

The CAN Help Bag

The CAN Help Bag is the organization’s signature method of delivering care and compassion. Bags are filled with food and personal care items.

Also, CAN serves:

  • Isolated elderly persons who have limited interactions with families and friends by conducting one-to-one visits
  • Families caring for children who have cancer by organizing fundraisers
  • Young people in need of personal development skills. The Teaching Integrity to Developing Youth (TIDY) program helps young people obtain assistance in finance, literacy, and business. We want them to emerge from this training opportunity to become successful and have the foundation needed to help others and themselves.

Not only do these acts of kindness put compassion into action, but they also activate our Vision Statement, which is to “Adopt SomeOne Forgotten.”

Partner With Us

We invite you to partner with us to help those who may become forgotten and create memorable experiences that can change their lives and yours for the better.

We teach the world how to love through simple acts of kindness by putting compassion into action. We conduct “1-to-1” charitable acts of kindness toward our isolated elderly, residents of nursing homes, and fundraising for families and kids with cancer. We invest financial support from sponsors into the lives of people.

Getting Into the Holiday Spirit

The Annual Festival of Wreaths revs up the holiday spirit when supporters purchase wreaths and decorate them. Proceeds from auction and raffle sales of these wreaths help the elderly during the Christmas season.
